Some months it comes early. Some months it's heavier than it used to be. And in the same weeks you're cold when nobody else is, and the word you wanted has gone missing again. Two stories running at once, and usually only one of them gets written down.
Short answer: Cycle tracking in Osmi puts the day you're on next to everything else you recorded that day. You see your cycle day on a ring, the symptoms and sleep you logged alongside it, and the week you've just had. Phases show as regions on the ring, and the ring stretches if your cycle runs long or short. It's a dated record, not a prediction. Osmi never says a symptom happened because of where you are in your cycle. It shows you what sat next to what, on which day, so you can take the pattern to someone who can act on it.
What cycle tracking does
Your lab numbers move two to four times a year. How you feel moves every day. Your cycle day moves every day too, and for most women it's already being tracked somewhere else, in an app that knows nothing about your thyroid.
Osmi keeps all three in one place. Your cycle sits next to your symptoms, sleep, and labs on one dated timeline, so you can see what lines up with what. Osmi won't tell you what it means. It keeps the day, with everything else that happened on it, so the pattern is there to read when you or your doctor go looking.

What you see on the cycle screen
The Cycle tab is one screen. Here's what's on it.
- The ring. Your cycle day in the middle, written plainly. "Day 14", and under it, "Of about 29".
- Phases as regions. Phases are drawn as colored regions around the ring rather than as a verdict. The screen says it out loud: "The ring stretches if your cycle runs long or short. Nothing here is a score."
- Alongside today. One card listing what else you recorded today. "Cold hands, low energy, 6h 20m sleep." Your words and your numbers. Osmi doesn't interpret them for you.
- The week rail. Seven days in a row, with the days you've filled in marked and today marked differently. It's there so you can see the run you're on.
- The guardrail. At the foot of the screen: "This page counts what you recorded." That's the whole promise. It counts. It doesn't conclude.
There's no score, no daily verdict, and no percentage. If you didn't record something, it isn't there, and the screen doesn't invent it.

What it works without
No wearable. Cycle day takes seconds. Osmi works from your check-ins and your scans on its own, and a ring or a watch only makes the sleep line sharper.
No labs. The cycle screen doesn't wait for a blood test. It's useful from the first week, before you've filed a single result.
No perfect month. Missed days show as missed days. The record is still a record with holes in it, and a real one beats a tidy one you made up from memory.

How your cycle fits the rest of the record
Osmi files every lab result and lines them up on one timeline, next to your cycle and sleep. So when you open a result from July, the cycle day it was drawn on is right there beside it, and so is the week of symptoms around it.
Your cycle day also travels to the appointment sheet. The sheet is the one page you can read out loud in the room, and it carries a row reading "Cycle" and the day you were on. Thyroid care is roughly fourteen minutes a year. The sheet exists so those minutes start from your record instead of from your memory of the last three months.
And the record compounds. One month of cycle days next to symptoms is a curiosity. Twelve months is something a doctor can actually look at, and it's the one thing a provider portal can't hand you, because portals are built per provider and your history isn't. Worth knowing about your thyroid and your cycle
None of this is Osmi telling you what's happening in your body. It's the context that makes the record worth keeping, and it comes from the guideline bodies, not from us.
The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases lists "heavy or irregular menstrual periods or fertility problems" among the common symptoms of hypothyroidism. The Office on Women's Health puts it more directly: "Your thyroid hormone can affect your menstrual cycle." On the same page it says too little thyroid hormone can lead to irregular menstrual cycles or periods that are heavier than normal. An overactive thyroid is on the list too. The NIDDK names menstrual cycle and fertility issues among the problems an untreated overactive thyroid can lead to.
Age doesn't settle it either way. Hashimoto's is diagnosed most often between 30 and 50, but it can start at any age, and a woman in her twenties with a cycle that's changed deserves the same record as a woman in her forties.
And there's a second thing that changes cycles in the same years. The National Institute on Aging says the transition into menopause usually starts with changes in women's menstrual cycle patterns, and that most women begin it between ages 45 and 55. Two things that change your cycle, overlapping in the same decade, with a lot of the same symptoms attached. That's exactly why a dated record beats an argument from memory, and it's why we wrote is it perimenopause or is it your thyroid as its own piece.
What Osmi does with all of that is nothing clever. It writes down what happened and on what day. Whether a change is worth acting on is a conversation for the room with your doctor in it, and you'll walk in with the dates.
